FLUTED CABINET
Materials: Black cherry, padauk
Finish: Shellac, polyurethane
This small cabinet was designed to pair with the medicine chest beside it. Through the subtle reinterpretation of ogees and fluting, it puts a quiet, modern spin on the high Victorian taste of its counterpart.
The miters of the cabinet carcass are reinforced with decorative padauk splines. The design also features solid wood cabinet doors, stabilized with breadboards in miniature. Doors operate using fully concealed miniature hinges and hand-shaped padauk pulls.
